So, how does one write away writer’s block? You write right away! Oh puns. You tickle my funny. Anywhoodle, I do what are called Morning Pages. Google it. That’s how I wrote away my writer’s block. I can write at any time and in any mood. I used to be caught up in the idea that I have to do writing the way “real writers” do, but that’s bologna. Try vegetarian bacon. It’s so much better.
I don’t see myself trying to top how much I write each day. There isn’t just one way to be a writer. Morning Pages was just the thing that worked for me. I write about writing, reading, and my life. Sometimes it feels like my diary. I didn’t want a diary, but I don’t care about that because, well, it works! It helps me remember interesting things that happened in my day that I can even write about. Doing the Pages provides consistency for my writing. I can say that I write almost every day. It may not be a poem or prose, but it’s something. I’m not very good at math, but I know something is always more nothing. Something > nothing. Nothing = nothing. Okay, now I’m just showing off those A+ skills.
